vor 1 JahrServus und hallo Gemeinde, Ich habe dort zuletzt 2024 Küken der Rasse Terta schwarz gekauft und unserer Glucke untergeschoben. Die Mädels haben sich super entwickelt, legen schöne hellbraune Eier und haben einen schönen Grünlackton auf dem Gefieder. Für Hybriden eine m.E. sehr schöne Rasse. Sollte sich unsere Glucke auch dieses Jahr wieder für Nachwuchs entscheiden, dann gibts wieder Schwarze aus Velden. Bei jedem Kauf wurde ich freundlich empfangen, fachlich äußerst fundiert und umfassend informiert. Da merkt man wer was drauf hat und sich auch um das Tierwohl kümmert. Ich wünsche noch viel Erfolg.

vor 2 JahrenJa, sehr schön und toll, dass Bauern die noch selbst „züchten“ und nicht nur zukaufen. Macht zwar keinen Unterschied, weil sie in dem gezeigten Hof werden besser noch schlechter aufwachsen, aber hauptsache, dir schmeckt dein sattes Masthuhn.

vor 2 Jahren @UnserLandBR Trotzdem gab es früher auch in den Städten mehrere Tiere. Wenn mehrere Leute wieder in der Stadt Tiere halten würden, wäre das trotzdem ein Anfang. Wir selbst leben in der Stadt haben uns einen kleinen Chicken Traktor von Omlet geholt. Wir haben hinterm Haus ca. 450 m² Grünfläche, wovon ca. 200 m² wahrscheinlich Beete, Sträucher und Bäume sind. Wiese wird wahrscheinlich ca. 200 m² sein. Wir haben hier 3 Hühner und denen geht es besser als hier im Video. Die haben auslauf. Regelmäßig frischen grünen Rasen, da der Tracktor regelmäßig verstellt werden kann. Der Rasen bleibt unbeschadet da die Hühner spätestens 1x in der Woche umgestellt werden. Die Hühner bekommen bei uns alle möglichen Leckereien, Essensreste (nichts schlechtes oder schimmliges) nur was übrig war. Die Hühner sind bei uns täglich an der frischen Luft, sehr zahm und begierig. Die Arbeit das ausmisten des Stalls dauert vielleicht 10 Minuten in der Woche. Jeder Hund ist hier viel aufwändiger. Durch die Hühner haben wir fast immer täglich frische Eier. Aktuell so ca. 2-3 Eier pro Tag. Also so zwischen 14-21 die Woche. Wir reichen damit gut für 4 Personen, verschenken sogar ab und an welche. Ich kann es nur empfehlen. Zuletzt vielleicht kurz 2-3 ergänzende Infos. Wir haben den Stall der Fa. Omlet (ich bekomme keine Provision). Der Stall ist komplett Wärmegedämmt und aus Plastik (vergossen) wahrscheinlich innen ausgeschäumt. Im Winter sind so selbst bei minus geraden keine Heizung nötig. Der Stall ist perfekt ausbalanciert, sehr leicht fahrbar und daher einfach um zu stellen. Wir haben die kleine Variante die ich auch empfehlen würde. Wir haben dazu einen fremden Auslauf als Erweiterung dazu gekauft. So ist man flexibel. Der Stall ist teuer und sicher nicht perfekt. Das Dach könnte besser aus einem Stück sein. Und warum innen einige Stellen nicht ganz glatt sind ist auch nicht klar. Wir haben auch schon Schrauben verloren. Dennoch würde ich den Traktor von Omlet sofort wieder kaufen und nur den empfehlen. Denn er lässt sich wirklich extrem gut und schnell reinigen. Da alles aus Plastik ist, können sich auch kaum Milben oder ähnliche Schädlinge festsetzen. Wir legen unten auf den Auszug immer noch eine Schicht Papier, das erleichtert die Reinigung nochmals zusätzlich. Abkärchern kann man den Stall auch. Wir haben die Hühner jetzt seit ca. 2 Jahren. Sie legen seit ca. 1,75 Jahren regelmäßig Eier (Bio). Im Jahr bekommen wir wahrscheinlich um die 100 Eier-Packungen voll. Wahrscheinlich mehr ich hab es nie gezählt. Rechnet man jetzt die Packung Bio Eier mit 3 €/Packung erzeugen die Hühner im Jahr ca. Eier im Wert von ca. 300 €. Der Stall ist teurer, rentiert sich langfristig aber auf jeden Fall. Futterkosten, Wasser, Hühner (Anschaffung) usw. müsst ihr selber rechnen. Wir füttern nur zu, da die Hühner bei uns wirklich viel Grün bekommen. Die Eier sind auf jeden Fall gelber, sehr fest, stabil, und sie zerlaufen nicht wie die billigen Hühnereier aus dem Supermarkt. Wir sind froh dass wir die putzigen Tierchen haben.

vor 2 JahrenEin Bekannter von mir hat auch Biolegehennen. Er überlegt schon, ob er aufhören soll. Zum einen sind die Legehennen teurer geworden, weil der Preis für den Bruderhahn draufgerechnet wird (praktisch kein Absatz) und natürlich wegen der gestiegenen Kosten.

vor 6 Tagen (bearbeitet)Ich hab mir Mitte Juli 15 einwöchige Masthuhnkücken gekauft und bis heute jeden Tag ein Huhn geschlachtet. Die grössten kamen fast auf 2,8 kg bei bester Haltung incl Garten Auslauf. Hab ihnen am Schlachttag sogar die Henkersmahlzeit gegönnt. Beim Schlachten bin ich top, leider beim händisch rupfen und zerlegen hab ich noch viel zu lernen. Versuch war’s wert – aber nächstes Mal leiste ich mir eine Rupfmaschine. Das Fleisch meiner Hühner ist absolut Spitze.

vor 5 MonatenWhen I lived in Fiji, I bought five young Cobb roosters, and grew them out to maturity running them free range with mixed blood chickens. All matured to be healthy birds. We ate the more stocky less mobile roosters, leaving the largest most mobile to breed with the other chickens. He was able to breed with a large solid olive egg hen. The offspring were vigorous and impressive birds. We weighed a rooster at 7.5 kg that was very active and vigorous, not as broad as the father but a big impressive bird nevertheless. Weighed a couple of hens around 6.5kg, very solid heavily muscled hens. So yes it is possible to breed from them, but their growth needs to be slowed down. Fascinating video, thanks.

vor 5 MonatenI have to say, running a big chicken breeding operation does take a lot of work and is a considerable financial investment. And also the cull rate, if you are looking to really improve your birds you need to hatch a sufficient amount of chicks from each line to be able to pick out the best and cull the rest. What saves me is that I work with another breeder who is very experienced and also has a solid line of the same breed. Last year he lent me his Grand Champion male that comes from a line that produces great females. My females are good, but not as nice as his. So that is a big help to me. And at the same time, I have a Grand Champion male with fantastic feather quality and while my male is getting old, and his fertility is starting to weaken, I am hatching as many as I can from him, and I will let my partner pick the best male from those hatches. It makes it easier when you work with with someone who has the same level of commitment and goals, and it speeds up the improvement progress. Mind you, I had to earn the respect of my partner breeder, and when he saw how much I invested in infrastructure, high quality feeds and good care, he knew i was serious!

@OrnamentalBirds vor 1 JahrI’ve never done that cross nor have I ever thought about doing it, since both are types of chickens that are at very different utility levels. For example, the Leghorn is a very light breed with high egg production, while the Ross 308 is geared towards meat production, although the egg production of a Ross 308 hen is acceptable to me personally. But then, the offspring of that cross would have a reduced weight compared to the Ross 308 and lower laying levels. It would be like creating a hybrid line without major virtues. It would be more productive to cross the Ross 308 with a Rhode Island Red, which is heavier than the Leghorn and also has good egg production, or you could also cross the Ross 308 with a rooster of the French Sasso breed. I guess I will have to try the Leghorn and Cornish Cross myself to see what I get. I already did a Turken x Cornish Cross, so the experiments will go on.

And it is very important not to feed them up with fat food, like I intentionally did. Lot of green grass, and boiled vegetable must be offered to be fit. Because they have a genetic predisposition to be fat, once they are too fat you have to kill them, because to let them to lay eggs is very risky… most of them get hard attack before the first egg…

vor 5 Monatenmis gallinas Cobb 500 llegaron a pesar 6 kilo los cruce con gallo saso, los huevos que ponían eran grandes, sus crías ya están adultas y están muy hermosos, el 5% aprox nacieron de colores negros tanto en pluma patas y pico y están muy delgados yo creo que es por los genes recesivos de su abuelos o algo parecido hay mucho camino por recorrer gracias por el contenido

vor 5 Monaten (bearbeitet)La mejor forma de llevar un crecimiento controlado de pollito cobb o ross es engañar a una gallina cloeca , durante la noche le pones el pollito . Ella los criara muy bien principalmente al libre pastoreo … Así tuve dos buenos reproductores , lamentablemente me dieron hijos con muchos problemas respiratorios pero con moderada conversión de alimento los cruce con gallina assel por su fortaleza muscular y resistencia a enfermedades aún así la mayoría de las cría sufría de ronquera .

vor 5 MonatenMuy bueno como siempre, es similar a la creación de una linea de ponedoras, tal como decías en tu video anterior. En este caso se me ocurre que tal vez se pueda obtener una buena línea usando un gallo de raza, tal vez un Susex con gallinas Ross o Cobb. Se podría tener un buen ejemplar para carne, aunque no tan bueno como los de engorde.

Justo pensaba proponer a mi universidad una proyecto de pollos de engorde autóctonos usando Cobb, gallina criolla (por rusticidad) y una raza pura doble propósito en método de 2 líneas para mantener algo de heteros en el Cruze final, como alguna vez lo hizo la universidad de Texas con codorniz blanca jumbo.

Und dann prahlt er damit, dass einige Babys an Tag 10 schon 420 Gramm wiegen („420 g at day 10“), weil er ihnen Glukose, Schmerzmittel (Paracetamol) und „Ultima feed“ hineinpumpt. Er freut sich darauf, dass sie an Tag 35 unfassbare 3,2 Kilo wiegen werden, und sagt dann völlig empathielos: „Warum sollte ich sie länger behalten? Besser alles entsorgen und neu aufstocken“ („Why should I still be keeping this bed? Instead, why not dispose everything and then restock“). Er nennt die Schlachtung von Babys „dispose“ (entsorgen)!
